A tattoo on the inner arm of two multicoloured shrimps - hot pink, lime green, turquoise, purple and yellow- embracing to make the shape of a heart. The shrimps are outlined in black and decorated with little black love hearts on their shells
A black line work tattoo with some minimal shading and dot work. The design depicts two blooming orchids cascading down the hip to the upper thigh with tendrils that come away from the flowers in curls.
A large tattoo on the back. Written in gothic text sitting vertically down the left side of the back are the words ‘le chat noir’ with an art deco style corner border embellishment framing the image sitting next to the text. The tattoo which is to the right of the text is a cartoonish drawing of a cats face in thick red lines that look like they were painted on with a big paint brush. It is a circle with two pointy ears two whiskers on each side whiskers and has crosses as eyes. There is text beneath it in the same thick red lines and childlike style that reads ‘the black cat’ Behind the red design is an all black sitting and looking out at the viewer as if from behind a red gate.
A tattoo above the knee, using black sketch like lines for the outline and dotwork to show shading. The design is of a naked figure in the foetal position with its back to the viewer. The top of the head is only just visible, and the feet cross over each other where the figure is sitting on them
A tattoo on the fore arm in red linework of a flower with stars on the stems. The design is drawn in the style of an Egyptian lotus
A simple black line work tattoo with no shading on the lower arm above the wrist. It depicts a little smily alien blasting off in its cosy ufo, with a little moon and sparkles surrounding it.
A tattoo in black linework with dotwork shading on the upper arm. The design is a head with short hair that comes down over the cheekbones. The face is angled outward away from the person it’s tattoos on. It has a hoop earring and is wearing a cap. The image is reminiscent of the Tom of Finland designs, a famous Finnish illustrator from the 50s/60s who is well known for his highly masculinised homo-erotic drawings.
Ornamental tattoos on the back of the hand in black ink. There are dots and swirly plant like patterns on two sides, with art nouveau flowers similar to orchids In the middle of the hand and up the thumb. There are three simple flowers at the bottom of the hand and top of the wrist that act like a border to the work.
A tattoo on the shoulder in the shape of a coffin, on the lid there is wobbly text which says ‘rave to the grave’ with a wobbly smily face beneath it. The tattoo is done with simple black line work and no shading.
A black linework tattoo on the middle of the thigh, the design is within a black rectangular frame with a small black circle in the lower left corner, there is a simple branch with leaves coming from the inside right corner and spreading diagonally and upwards across the rectangle, the tip of the branch breaks free from the rigid shape and is growing upwards and to the left. There is staggered text beneath the rectangle in a simple handwritten style that says ‘complete but not finished’
A simple cartoon style daisy in the upper thigh in thick black lines. The stem is part of a previous design which the flower is covering up, text crosses the middle of the flower with the same bold lines and casual hand written style. The first letter is a lowercase h which overlaps the leaf and stem. The next letter is o which is tattooed in red ink, followed by letters p and e to spell out hope.
A simple black linework tattoo on the back. There are three pre-existing tattoos, two are on either side of the shoulder blades with the third placed slightly above the others sitting just below the nape. The fresh tattoo starts in the middle on the lower back with a single stem which splits into two at the waist, the two stems then fall on either side of the middle tattoo, on the left are two elegant leaves, and on the right is a bloomig flower that looks like a lily
A tattoo on the ribs in black with dotwork shading. The design is of a cormorant standing on a diagonal, its back to the viewer. It’s wings are spread with some flight feathers missing and you can see that it holds a writhing eel in its beak.
